About Us

EdvocatePD (Professional Development) is an online learning site that represents a paradigm shift and disruption in the industry. So much time, energy, creativity and money have been invested in creating the next big thing in professional development for P-20 teachers and administrators, but the focus is misplaced. The goal should center on creating powerful learning experiences that result in skills and ideas that can immediately impact professional lives. That’s why all of our curricula is competency-based. It is such a simple, yet revolutionary concept. Don’t you think?

Our graduate level courses are designed to help P-20 institutions solve the biggest problems and challenges facing the field of education. This is what distinguishes us from other professional development sites. Whether you need help with closing the achievement gap or integrating technology into your classroom, we have courses that can teach you how to do this. When you complete one of our courses, you can instantly implement the knowledge and skills that you have learned.

Our model and value proposition are what make us the most excited. Instead of a one-size-fits-all method, each lesson seeks to present a differentiated instruction approach to each skill. We have created a product that is peerless; mixing innovation, rigor, and usability with a teaching and learning model that is a bold but calculated paradigm departure from the current online learning environment. We used the latest (and I mean latest) research in cognitive neuroscience and educational psychology to accomplish this.

Our aim is to help educators reach a state of entelechy or the biological drive that compels organisms to endeavor to reach their potential. Also, entelechy is the point at which that potential is realized. So for all intents and purposes, the journey and the destination share the same name. That’s what we do. We take educators on an educational journey that assists them in realizing, and implementing their potential.
